Certain girls enjoy playing with dolls and playhouses, Tsuchi Kin never had time for such things. She was too busy keeping up with the boys surrounding her life. Her mother died when she was very young, so she was the youngest girl in a house full of boys (three older brothers, and her father). She would roll in the dirt, burn ants on the sidewalk, and eat worms for dares. She was just as tough with her brothers- if not tougher still.

Her father sometimes wondered if he was not giving his daughter enough training in femininity. Serched his mind for things that his wife enjoyed, and thought of art and music. He thrust a scetch pad into his daughters hands, and told her that she was enrolled in art classes twice a week. This, and she would be joining the school band- she could choose her instrument.

Well middle school band is filled with girls, so the only thing she could go for and not be picked on by her friends was drums. She became particularly skilled concerning the bells, and was named head of the section. Her father was pleased with the direction she took with band, but not so much with art.

She became fascinated with art, and soon took to doodling all over her arms and body in her spare time- and one day visited the local tattoo parlor. Body art was the most beautiful thing in her opinion, and she quickly got as many as she could hide from her father. Needless to say he found out about her new hobby, and although he tried to steer her away from it, she had found her duel passions.

Trying to nurture her musical side, he enrolled his daughter in Oshima. Even being in the band, and playing this slightly feminine instrument, she still fell into a crowd of tough boys, and got a part time job at the local tattoo parlor. She leads her life with her dirty mouth and tough as nails attitude. She does not take shit form anyone, and has little patience with people who do not take things seriously.
